In the main program, we prompt the user to enter a number and store it in a variable called “number”. Next, we prompt the user for the exponent and store it in the variable called “exponent”. Using the calculate_power function, we pass the

“number” and the “exponent” as arguments to calculate the power. The function, as in the code above, calculates the result and sends it back to the main program.

Finally, we print the result by concatenating the appropriate values.

Example 4: Creating a Simple Calculator
